I just wanted to skim and read what I came for, but the constant popups kept interrupting me. My brain automatically goes into “close it and move on” mode, but after a while it got annoying and made the whole site feel harder to use than it should be.

I’ve been using the login alerts and 2FA recently, and so far everything has worked smoothly. The most recent time I signed in, I got the alert right away, which made me feel like the security is doing its job. My only gripe is that some of the settings are a little buried and could be easier to find.

Medium is fine overall, and I still use it, but the moderation can feel inconsistent. I’ve seen some posts get flagged almost right away while other similar ones stay up with no issue. What makes it more frustrating is when the terms or rules seem to change, or at least get enforced differently, without much explanation. I just wish they were clearer and more consistent about what’s allowed.

I filed a copyright report because one of my posts was stolen, but as far as I can tell, nothing happened. Maybe I missed a step or did something wrong, but the copied post stayed up and I never felt like the report went anywhere

I’ve been trying to use Medium more often, but the privacy settings don’t give me much confidence. It feels like I don’t have a clear say in what gets tracked, what gets shown, or how much control I actually have over my own activity.
Finding the settings is kind of a hassle too, and some of the options are worded in a way that doesn’t feel very clear. For a platform built around writing and personal expression, I expected more control over my account, and it left me feeling a little uneasy about using it regularly

The charges were mostly correct, so I’ll give them that, but the renewal date wasn’t very clear and I had to double-check everything myself. What really annoyed me was getting transferred around when I contacted support. I just wanted a straight answer about the billing, but it felt like I kept being passed to someone else

I had subscribed for a bit, but ended up canceling when I realized I wasnt really reading much anymore. Found it in the settings quick, and they didn’t make me jump through a bunch of hoops or anything. No weird extra charge after either. fair.

I like using Medium when I just wanna read quick articles or stumble on a good writer. The paywall does pop up way too often tho, which gets kinda annoying. Still, when the content is good, it feels worth keeping around.

I still enjoy reading on Medium, but the mobile app has been acting up a lot for me recently. Articles take forever to load, and sometimes the app freezes or just crashes right when I open something. I’ve started avoiding it when I’m in a hurry because I don’t want to waste time tapping around and waiting for it to respond. It’s frustrating, honestly.

I keep getting way too many emails, and trying to turn them off has been frustrating. I’ve changed the notification settings, but they still don’t seem to actually work. At this point, it’s hard to trust that the app is going to respect my preferences...

The login itself worked fine. No issues there. But actually getting access? That took longer than I expected. A little confusing at first, honestly. I got in eventually, but it wasn’t as smooth as it should’ve been.

I’ve been liking it here because the comments actually feel like real discussions. Compared to a lot of other sites where people just post and disappear, most of the writers seem to reply often and keep the conversation going.

I end up using medium a few times a week, for what it costs, it feels fair. There’s a lot of solid writing on there, especially around tech and personal essays and that kind of thing. Some pieces do start to feel a little repetitive after a while, like you’ve read the same take before, but I still find enough useful or interesting stuff to make the subscription worth keeping. I do wish the recommendations were a bit smarter though, because sometimes it’s just... not quite what I’m looking for. Overall, I’m happy with it...

I still think Medium is one of the better places to stumble across interesting articles, every time I find a great post from some writer I’ve never heard of, it kind of confirms that for me. But the discovery side can be hit or miss. Some days I get genuinely useful stuff, and other times it just keeps pushing the same type of posts or topics that feel old. Search works fine enough, but I wouldn’t call it great. I do still use it and think it’s worth keeping around, just not quite as smooth or smart as I expected.

Getting something published was simple, so I’ll give them that. But the stats feel way too limited, and that’s kind of on them. I expected a bit more detail without having to dig around or guess what’s actually going on.

I like using medium for reading stuff and posting here and there, but the spam control feels a little random to me. Like, I’ll still see comments that are clearly spam, but then a normal post or reply might get limited or seem flagged for no obvious reason. Maybe that means the system is working? I don’t know, but it also kind of feels like it’s not. It’s not a huge disaster, and I get there’s probably tons of junk they have to sort through, but it would be nice if it was faster and a bit more fair. Overall it’s fine, just not quite balanced yet

I spent months writing on Medium thinking it might turn into a decent little side income, but i wish I had used that time somewhere else. The payouts were so small it was almost embarrassing, and getting views didn’t really seem to mean much unless you already had a big following. The whole monetization setup felt confusing and a little unfair. As a small writer, it just didn’t feel worth the effort, and I definitely have some buyer’s remorse about buying into the idea that it would pay off.
